Pennies in the Park [at Thoresby] Festival of Cycling

The organisation for the above event is going well.
One for your diaries
The event is to be held over the weekend on the 19th and 20th May 2012 at Thoresby Park and Courtyard to celebrate all things cycling and the Queens Diamond Jubilee Year and the Olympics.
There is work in progress to draft a poster and to secure an event sponsor.
There is work in progress to design a special event `t` shirt.

The event field has been secured for overnight camping and we have use of the cricket pitch for grass track racing.

The following schedule of events has been drafted
Saturday
Youth Circuit Racing
Senior and women Circuit Racing
Go Ride racing and have a go riding
Unicycle event
Penny Farthing Race
Paperboy Race

Roller Racing
Trade Stands
Vintage Bikes

In the evening a barn dance has provisionally been booked

Grass Track racing organised by Martin Smith

I have been communicating with Tony Wright and Bassetlaw District Council have given their support as part of the Bassetlaw Games
